Here all Average Wizards can talk about the HP books, movies, events, theme park, parodies, etc. However, no posting stories that did not get onto Average Wizard. |

| Here is the opportunity to discuss any craft projects relating to Harry Potter like jewlery, models, sewing projects, home-made wands, keychains, friendship bracelets, anything! Feel free to also post any tips when making a particular project, for example what to use when making Luna's Dirigible Plum earrings so they are not too heavy and comfortable to wear, or links to websites with excellent how-to instructions. I myself are searching for ideas on a HP-themed bracelet at the moment to make and wear to school and to also serve the purpose of reminding myself on the magical stories, Hogwarts, and all of you Average Wizards and Witches that I keep so close to my heart, to relax me during perhaps a difficult exam. So please share your experiences, thoughts, and tips! Anything is apreciated! |

| Oh this is going to be so much fun! I just came on to check the book recommendations (it's 11:45pm and I'm dead tired), and I just had to look at this. So, so far I made a 'The Chamber of Secrets etc." sign for my wall. I actually individually colored the letters and cut them out- I don't reccomend it. It was either a snow day or I was procrastinating something. I also made a "Mirror of Erised" for my tall, old, mirror on my closet door. I just cut out paper how I needed to and colored it. I recently made a Ravenclaw banner (not done yet). I printed out an eagle silohuette, cut it out and traced it on a piece of craft foam and cut it out. From there I painted it bronze and hot glued it to a piece of blue felt. I folded about an inch over on the top of the felt and glued the bottom edge down for a dowel or something. For my friend's birthday I made her a Pygmy Puff by wrapping pink yarn around a foam ball (don't know what else to call them), I glued on eyes and feet. It was adorable, she named it Harold. Oh, and I kind of tried my best to fluff up the yarn. | |

| Well, as a beader, I've made a whole lotta necklaces in House colors, and when I have the opportunity, I love to make jewelry with those little letter beads to spell out stuff- Harry Potter, my house, Average Wizard, etc. I just made a duct tape bracelet in House colors for DH release (to spot my fellow AW) and it was actually pretty fun, and I'll probably wear it a lot. I just took a piece of duct tape, folded it in half, and then took electrical tape and stuck that to the duct tape in even diagonal strips, then trimmed the extra. Once that was done, I took white out (although sharpie would work; mine was just kind of dark so I took a light color thing instead) and wrote my AW username and Average Wizard on it, then when it had dried, taped the two ends together with another piece of electrical tape. It sounds kind of funny but it looks pretty awesome. I also made Luna's Butterbeer Cork necklace the other day- first I made a really long beaded necklace, then doubled it up. I've been saving a bunch of old wine corks for this, so I took one of those, and, with a pin, poked almost all the way through it. Then I took a needle with a kind of small eye and threaded a piece of thread through it and tied it so it wouldn't come undone. I then stuck the needle into the cork so just the eye was showing, and then tied the string with the needle/cork thing on it to the doubled up necklace. Trim the string, and you're done! Shirts are also really fun to make- I usually use puffy paint on old shirts, and then cut the neck out of them in an a-symmetrical way. I have three shirts like this. One says "Not all of us are evil/Slytherin Pride" with a picture of a snake, one says, "Dumbledore? Pfft. What an old coot. He's nothing comapred to RUMBLEROAR! /He's a lion. Who can talk," and the last says, "You think that killing people will make them like you, but it doesn't. It just makes people DEAD./Okay is wonderful, Quirrel." Sooner or later, I'm going to make a Chudley Cannons shirt, with their logo and motto ("Let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best" I'm also looking forward to making a "supermegafoxyawesomehot" shirt. I also have a button making kit, so I make Potter buttons a lot. Another favorite craft of mine is making mini quote posters- I just take a 3x5 index card and decorate it with a quote and a little picture, and there you go! Be-yoo-tiful! There's a ton of other crafts here: http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/features/crafts and Google also comes up with a whole lotta results if you search. | |

| Wow! Those are so cool! I finished my Ravenclaw banner yesterday- I just needed a stick from outside. It came out a lot better than I thought it would. I also got some index cards and printed out some quotes. I painted them instead of printing out pics- we don't have a good color printer. Thanks for the idea with the index cards! | |

| Those clay dolls are really, really cool! And cute! I've actually been wanting to make something like that for a while now. But I think yours came out much better than mine would have. I've made some Potter Puppet Pals finger puppets recently which also work as pencil toppers. I thought I'd share that incase anyone wants to make there own! I've been wanting to make some more Potter crafts like a bracelet and stuff but my school starts Monday so I've been busy with cleaning my room, getting supplies, and things like that. Mind you, when I say clean my room I mean a complete scrub and wash of every corner so I haven't had any time to do anything else. |

| I've spent my whole summer making HP crafts, so I have a long list with no idea how to tell you how to make them. So, I'll just tell you some of my ideas for crafts: 1 ) Bertie Botts Every Flavor Bean box 2 ) Chocolate Frog box 3 ) House Badges 4 ) Wands (of course! ) 5 ) House bracelets 6 ) Marauder's Map (just the outside. I didn't fold it right or fill it in or anything, haha oops) 7 ) Dark Mark tattoo stickers 8 ) Hogwarts acceptance letter 9 ) Hogwarts acceptance letter envelope/seal 10 ) Broomstick (I haven't finished it yet though) And... that's it. I haven't really gotten out of the house this summer, but my room is gonna be totally tricked out with Harry Potter decor. I think it's been a good use of time. xD | |

(: I do have an etsy account (Granger Danger) but not a store yet... I don't think I'd make enough profits to make it worth it. However, I'll totally keep that in mind. I am only 13, though, so it's kind of hard to sell. But if you really are interested in buying something, I'd be happy to work something out with you.

Thank you so much! I didn't know whether I was being really annoying or not. (: I made 3 more t-shirts yesterday, so I might post pics in a bit. And I still haven't posted pics of my other 3 shirts, so...

| Okay, this is SO much simpler - here's the web address to a whole album of my HP related photos, mostly ones I've already posted here, but also the new shirts I made, and me as Ginny from like 2 years ago. https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=32273&id=100000000748895&l=22ad3ac0a4Now I really can stop posting photos... but I will add more to the album if you're even remotely interested. | |
