I'm putting together a costume for the midnight release of DH (both parts), Halloween, and just wearing around to be totally awesome, and I had a couple questions for all of you.

A) Are you dressing up for the releases/going as a HP character for Halloween?

B) Who or what are you going as, if you answered yes to the above question?

My costume's just a Slytherin student, POA style uniform (but I'm not going for EXACTLY correct, just medium close). There's a lot of different pieces, though, and a lot of places to get a lot of those pieces, so....

C) Where did you get your robes/tie/scarf/sweater/skirt, etc.?

Right now, I'm planning on getting my skirt from Land's End (item no. 25021-IBP4), my blouse from Old Navy (item no. 753134), my tie, beanie, and scarf from Amazon, robes from Whimsic Alley (Alivan's is sold out in my size for my House), and sweater and house socks from Alivan's, but if you know of anywhere to get these items for less money (and still decent quality/accuracy) I'd be MUCH obliged.

YES! I am dressing up as Luna! I bought a Luna Lovegood shirt off of the ofical HP WB site, and the rest of the costume is stuff that I already have. One of my cousins is planning to go as Umbridge; and my other cousin isn't sure, I think she will end up wearing her AVPM shirt with a homemade dark mark. And my best friend is going as a Hufflepuff student, wearing the scarf I gave her for her birthday which I got off of Amazon.

If I can get it started (I need to find a decent pattern; if anyone knows where I can get one, could you link me, please?), I'm going as a Ravenclaw student. I'm already working on the scarf.

Would you happen to have Specterspecs? I found some at a sunglasses store and I absolutely love them.

The8thweasley and I are totes dressing up for DH 1 and 2. Very Happy We're going as AVPM Ron and Cho. We just need to get our house sweaters (and tie, in my case), and we'll be good to go. Very Happy I can't wait.

I might also use that for my halloween costume, but I haven't decided yet. If I don't do that, I might do a AVPM Quidditch uniform (in my house colors, of course Very Happy)

Yes, I am dressing up too! Very Happy Then I will stand up in the theater upon my seat, and scream to the heavens, "It's Not Over Yet" from AVPS, and then probably a few songs until I have to be forcibly escorted out by security. xD
I got my robes from a local party store several years ago, so that probably won't help anyone find any. My robe is Gryffindor, but luckily, I made house badges because I am an undecided. So I'll probably turn my robe inside out and wear one of my homemade badges (depending on how I feel in November, I could be any house, so... yeah). I'm just going as a random Hogwarts student. *Sigh*.
I have yet to by my sweater and skirt. My parents refuse to take me to the mall (oldest of three and can't drive yet. What a dreary existence I must face! And, um, I apologize for the melodrama. xD) and despise internet shopping unless it's for my High School textbooks. So, thanks for telling us where you're getting your stuff, because now I know where I can get mine... xD. Hahaha. But yes, to answer your question, I am dressing up for both DH midnight premieres whether people like it or not. Hahahaha. I'm actually having a party and secretly forcing everyone to dress up, so it's all good. Smile

I'm definitely dressing up (as a Ravenclaw) for the premieres, but all the 'official' stuff is too expensive, so I'm making my own. I'm ditching the tie, because that wasn't a part of the uniform in the books; I'm knitting the scarf; I'm going to find a good pattern for the robes (I'll post it on here when I do) and make them; and I'm just wearing a white blouse, black pants (I think they wear them sometimes instead of skirts, but I'm going for the book look rather than the movie look anyway) and my school shoes. As for the wand, I'm going to make it following the method on this site: http://users.owt.com/bluefox/Bluefox/wandmaking.html
And I'm also wearing an AW badge, but there's another topic for that Smile

I'm either going as Narcissa (my friend would go as Bellatrix), Luna, or Draco (my friend would go as Harry) Smile I don't have a costume for any of them yet but If I go as Luna I got spectrespecs in WWoHP (they came with a quibbler poster), or if I go as Cissy or Draco I have a Slytherin scarf, and other slytherin stuff that I also got in WWoHP.

We are totally going to do all kinds of AVPM/S related stuff during the movie (I'll just try not to be too obnoxious to the people trying to enjoy the movie...

Same with me... but I'm going to be quiet the first time I see it, because I'll be totally spazzing out.

But then I'm going to go see it again over that weekend, and then I'll be totally annoying.

I'm going to do the same thing! The first time I'll watch it, I'm just taking it all in but then I'm just gonna keep going back to watch it again and my friends will hate me (:<
