Listen to "The Bravest Man I Ever Knew" by the Ministry of Magic! That's what made me get into wrock.

That is my all-time favorite Wrock song. Probably not surprising... *coughs* *points at avvie* *cough*

I gotta say I think my fav's are "The Year Harry Went Emo" "In Which Draco and Harry Secretly Want to Make Out" "Accio Love" and, of course, "Snape vs. Snape" <3

I'm just curious, has anyone here ever filked a song? If you have, which one, and what is it about?

Mine was "Warm Leatherette" by The Normal (WARNING!!! The song is about a car crash, and it's pretty creepy, so listen at your own risk), which was turned into "Warm Memories" and describes Snape's death scene.

I had never even heard of "filking" before. I guess you learn something new every day. xD

Whoops! Never occurred to me that filking wasn't a well-known term. Some Ravenclaw I am!

Anyhoots. If you clicked on the link, it explains that "filking" is taking one song and re-writing the lyrics to make it pertain to a certain fandom. "99 Death Eaters" by Draco and the Malfoys, for example, is a filk of "99 Luftballoons" by Nena.

Wake Up in the morning feeling like matt lang. Got my snacks I'm out the door I'm gunna ROCK this thang. before I leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of squirt. Cause where i'm going gunna laugh until my stomach hurts. I'm talking Darren loves Zefron more more. Lauren's rolling on the floor floor. You can call Dylan Dumbledore.. (not albus) Walker’s on Brian's head head. Joey’s wig isn’t really that red red. So many regrets I’m dead.. Don’t stop, make it pop, AJ tear those ivories up. Tonight, Imma FIND, Until it blows your mind. Pigfarts, Basement arts and now the party starts oh.. Oh woah oh oh, Oh woah oh oh

^^ There's a Youtube video of someone singing that, and they added another verse and a bridge. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gesl3iZNznc

My favourite Wrock bands are Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls, The Butterbeer Experience ("Merope's Song" makes me cry), and Ministry of Magic. I wish more of OBatR's stuff was on iTunes, it'd be so much easier to get to.
