AVPM Soundtrack

A Very Potter Musical: The most AMAZING thing besides Harry Potter itself.

I'm sure most will agree that AVPM is an amazing parody and that Team StarKid is genius.

Although, I must admit, even though I listen to the soundtrack 24/7, I like the live preformances of the songs on YouTube vs. the recorded ones on the soundtrack better.

What about you? What do you guys think.

I LOVE avpm. I actually found it of AW (Best thing I ever did)
I actually searched up Granger Danger, it was always mentioned on AW, I was confused, thinking it was wrock, when i was a related video, which was avpm, act 1 part 11, i watched some of it, but I didn't watch the whole thing through, until I was back from Homework Club with my friend. It is the best Potter parody I've ever seen.

I love the live music better, because I feel they have more emotion in it, if that makes sense. In the recorded versions, it seems more like there just singing.

I agree completely, Emotional Teaspoon.

Also, I think that the feel from the live preformances are different from the soundtrack's. I'm not sure how to describe it, but, the soundtrack songs give off a rehearsed type of vibe that's different than when you listen to it live.

I also like the way Darren (Harry) says "That's in Canada!" during the song he sings to Ginny in the live preformance versus the soundtrack where he just really mutters it.

I'm kinda weird I guess. o.o I go back and forth depending on the song. Like, Goin Back to Hogwarts I prefer live, as well as Harry and Different As Can Be. And Voldemort is Goin Down, of course. :] But I also like the studio versions of some of them better, as well. Like Ginny, I prefer how he kind of mumbles "that's in Canada" there, cause it makes it funnier when he like shouts it when singing to Cho (my opinion). I also like it cause it makes it seem like he really isn't sure on the lyrics.

I dunno. Its just genius either way. :]

Any thoughts on the AVPS soundtrack?

Is the AVPS soundtrack available? I heard people say you could download it for free, but when I tried, it brought me to this paypal thing...

The AVPS soundtrack (only the songs that aren't available on iTunes) is free for download. When it brings you to the little box just type in 0 for the amount, since it's free. Then just fill out everything and they'll send you an e-mail with a link to the download.

And in order to get the rest of the songs, you have to buy A Very Starkid Album. That annoyed me a little bit, but I do understand that they need to get money somehow if we want more shows. Such is life, right?

Yea I prefer the live versions too, but I think those ones are kinda hard to hear at parts because of the audience while the recorded versions are really clear.

I also realized that in " Cho Chang " it was the uncensored version. Listen to it xD

I haven't heard the recorded version yet (due to my mother saying its pointless crap!!!) but I absolutely AVPM!

Ohkay where do you get the AVPM and AVPS soundtracks? i love AVPM and AVPS and i want the soundtrack reallly badly but i dont know where to look! can you help me? Question

You just have to go onto starkids site (teamstarkid.com) and they have the links up there so that you can download them, but some of the AVPS songs have to be bought from itunes xP

Have you guys noticed that in the soundtrack versions they also change things? Like Harry says "stupid rules" in the videos but "awful rules" in the recording for Goin' Back To Hogwarts. I think in the same song the actor for Cho was changed. It just sounds..... bad.

I've noticed that! I guess Devin Lyttle (Cho) wasn't there for recording that day. Oh well :/

Yea I noticed that too! It always annoys me because I'll be singing with someone and I'll be singing the soundtrack version and they'll be singing the version on youtube so we'll say different things xP lol But I think that's just because they may have messed up while performing it, I mean I don't think they would change it for the recording, and sometimes in plays people do that (i know i have) so i always just figured it was a mistake that they just skipped over.
