"Mark Reads Harry Potter"

Don't you just love it when someone enters the Harry Potter fandom? I've been reading this site/blog(?) where this guy, Mark, is reading the Harry Potter series and writing a review/thoughts on every chapter. I haven't read every single review yet but I will though, when I get time. He's almost finished with Half-Blood Prince right now and I thought that I should share it with you guys because it just feels so great knowing how he feels when he reads it. He was saying how he never thought the books would change his life so much and it just makes me so happy when someone else becomes a fan. It reminds me of how I felt when I first read the books so I thought you might want to take a look at it too. Here's the site if you'd like to see:

I'm just scared when he gets to Dumbledore's death. He was so sad when he read about Sirius.

It's also interesting because we all know what happened in the books and here he is, uncovering everything for the first time. So yeah, check it out if you'd like!

I heard about this on Mugglenet. I went on it once and was planning on reading it, but I had to stop using the computer for whatever reason. (Probably my brother claiming he needs it for homework. Whatever.) I'll definitely look at this now. My brother's too busy playing Xbox to want the computer now. Haha.

But yeah, in the few seconds I skimmed it, it was like reading the books over again. Thinking about Snape, "He's evil!" (AVPS reference anyone?). It was kind of funny... reading that and knowing how it turns out in the end. It was like, "Hey, I remember thinking that about Snape, and the plot, and etc".

So enough of my chatter, time to go read this now.

I started reading that a few days ago. I loved it when he read "The Keeper of the Keys" in Book 1 and claimed that he wanted to marry Hagrid. That's about what I thought when I first read the book, too. (Now, though, I think I'd marry Harry or George. Or maybe Dean.)

Yea, I started reading it a little while ago, and right now I'm on his review of book four.

I kind of have mixed feelings about it, I mean I love his reactions, and I love being able to read about someone becoming a fan as it happens, but to me he seems kind of ... slow at some points.

Like in PoA when they were explaining about Pettigrew and he was so confused, and he was talking about it for like 5 chapters, and then was still asking "wait so Pettigrew was working for voldemort, not sirius black?" And like in one chapter Lupin says "of course I know how to work the map, I'm moony, it's what my friends called me in school." then the next chapter mark is flipping out because he realized that they were the ones who made the map, and I was just like "...umm you didn't realize that when lupin said he was moony?"

He's almost finished with Deathly Hallows! The war is just starting! AH, I'm so excited to read his reviews for the last chapters. But oh gosh, it will be heartbreaking as well.

So yeah, this post is basically just expressing my excitement here XD
